Keepers In Training
Ever wondered what it’s like to be a wildlife keeper? Keepers In Training is a fantastic weekend activity for you! Keepers In Training allows children to experience what it’s really like to be a Cairns ZOOM & Wildlife Dome wildlife keeper! Join a wildlife keeper for an interactive, hands-on experience covering animal care, health and handling. You even get to have a photo taken with an animal to take home! Please come with shoes and your own bottle of water.
As a Keeper In Training, you may:
- Help feed animals
- Learn about conservation
- Get up close with our resident koalas
- Help keepers clean enclosures
- Have a photo with an animal to take home
- Monitor animal health (weigh animals)
- Make enrichment items
- Learn how to handle reptiles
When Is It On?
On Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday of QLD school holidays and only on Saturday and Sunday during school term.
Available for 3 to 7-year-olds from 9am – 10am (includes one adult companion)
Available for 8 to 13-year-olds from 11am – 12noon
Only $40!
Includes a photo with an animal. Max of 5 attendees per session.
